Heading to shops from the end of June, ESP is proud to release a set of new or upgraded tackle items for all year round use.
E-S-P Black Hardware Barrel Bobbins

Due to popular demand, black and white pure PTFE bobbins with black stainless fittings – all made in our UK factory, ensuring exceptional quality and precision. For the fittings we have used high grade stainless steel with a special durable black coating.

Each kit contains:

  • PTFE Barrel Bobbin
  • Interchangeable ball clips
  • Interchangeable grip clips
  • 3" and 7" stainless steel reversible black stainless ball chains
  • 3g black stainless add-on weight
  • Black stainless steel hockey stick

The two stainless ball chains have a unique feature where we have used a machined acetyl connector at one end and a 3g black stainless connector at the other. This allows the chain to be simply reversed to add weight to the bobbin when required. Also adding the 3g stainless add-on weight integrated into the hockey stick increases the weight further and means that the PTFE bobbin can be used at weights of 5g, 8g or 11g.

This makes for a highly versatile set up suitable for everything from slack line fishing where a light bobbin is required to tight line fishing at range with the weight of the bobbin increased to the maximum.

The interchangeable line clips simply allow the bobbin to be fished running on the line with the ball clips or gripping the line 'Elstow style' with the grip clips. The 3" ball chain is best suited to this setup, with the bobbin fished on a short drop near the bite alarm.

E-S-P Claw Hammers

The point length has been increased to mirror the hugely successful Trig and Chod Hammers, with the Claw-Hammers having a sweeping beaked point ideal for fishing over gravel and for assured hook holds in thick weed. These longer, finer points are incredibly sharp straight out of the packet and even previously ardent hook sharpeners like Gaz Fareham have been using these through the testing period without reaching for the file. On the two largest sizes 4 and 5 the wire gauge has been stepped up by 0.1mm for improved strength and the heavy forging helps accentuates this. However due to the point length to wire diameter ratio used the points are still long, fine and needle sharp. The twin tempering process of heat and cryogenic tempering ensures formidable strength and point durability with just the right degree of shock absorbing ‘spring’ – neither too soft nor too brittle. As per all the other Cryogen hooks in the range, these feature a slick PTFE Tuflon coating and micro barbs which ensure excellent penetration and secure hook holds.

Enlarged eye diameters pro-rata across the range of sizes allow for thicker monofilaments to be used with the knotless knot.

Available in sizes 4,5,6,7 & 8 in barbed and barbless.

E-S-P Quick Change Ronnie Booms

Perfectly tied in our own factory, these booms are designed to complement Ronnie and Hinge rigs, allowing for quick and easy change of the hook section while also incorporating the all-important tungsten sleeve which counterbalances the pop-up and also secures the rig onto the clip. The tungsten sleeves are a perfect alternative to putty and are far more resilient to the attentions of crayfish.

  • Tungsten Loaded Semi Stiff pushes rig away at full extension for optimum presentation
  • Figure of 8 loop for easy attachment to mainline clip or swivel

E-S-P Polo Tops

Classic polo’s available in black and olive with the E-S-P logo embroidered on the left chest. Made in super soft 65%/35% poly cotton material and available in sizes Small – 4XL.
