Tinpot keeps catching!

Second night 35lb 8oz mirror

Daren ‘Tinpot’ Norman got back amongst the fish again last week – you can’t keep a good man down!

‘After catching a lovely 35lb 8oz mirror on my last trip I was super keen to get back but my van broke down meaning I couldn’t get back to the lake for 10 days. Luckily a mate picked me up on his way down there and to be honest it was pretty grim on arrival, very busy, cold northerly winds and not a lot happening.

‘Just as i was packing up’ – 36lb 8oz

Things improved though when we found out the two guys fishing our favoured areas were going home so we were happy. On the second afternoon I noticed a few fish rolling closer in than I was fishing so dropped two rods twenty yards shorter in a very silty area and at 10.30 on the second night I landed a lovely 35lb 8oz mirror. Another 200 krill 20mm baits were stuck out and just as I was packing up at midday the same rod was away and a fat 36lb 8oz made it a hat trick of mid 30’s in my last 3 nights fishing so I’m well happy how my spring campaign has started and cant wait to get back’.

Tinpot’s faithful approach of using a ready tied ESP Chod Rig to a boom of Tungsten Loaded and Syncro mainline help do the business again.
