Things have carried on very nicely of late and as always “mental May” has been a great time to be out on the bank. I’ve managed to get four nights fishing in since the brace of mid 30’s and had three more fish from my syndicate.

‘I arrived on Friday evening at around 6pm and managed to squeeze into a peg on Hunts Corner before the heavens opened.  It was my first time on this lake at Linear so wasn’t too sure what to expect.  Between the spells of heavy rain I managed to find myself a nice clear spot just off a gravel bar at 11 wraps and got 15 spombs on the area.

Kev Hewitt has been in pursuit of the incredible Kempie’s Linear from Linear Manor Farm since earlier this year. He’s caught loads of other fish but so far the one he wanted had not put in an appearance – until last weekend. Well done Kev!

Dutch angler Michiel Martijn specialises in fishing public French lakes and recently caught these two stunners weighing 37lb and 51lb 8oz. Both caught using Cryogen Curve-Shanx size 6, Tungsten Loaded hook links and Terry Hearn Classic rods. Well done Michiel!  

We have introduced a few new items of terminal gear, including dedicated Ronnie Rig swivels (Quick Change Uni Links in sizes 9 & 11) and matt black Rig Rings in three sizes. In shops from next week!

Kev Hewitt has been back to Linear Fisheries Manor Farm and in spite of grim conditions, managed a few bites.
