Kev Hewitt sent us this picture of a stunning carp caught from manor farm on the linear complex. It weighed 28Lb and was backed up with a 27Lb 12oz common and four other mirrors to 26Lb 8oz.
Kev caught the big mirror on a CC Moore odyssey cork ball pop up fished on an ESP ready made chod rig size 6 fished in conjunction with an ESP Chod Leadcore leader. This was presented at 100 yards range in light weed over a bed of dead maggots, hemp and boilies.
Kev reached the spot whilst using 12ft 3.25Lb TC ESP snipers, Daiwa tournament reels loaded with 10Lb ESP Syncro and a braided shock leader.
When long range casting with big leads or spods, it’s safer and more efficient to use 45lb E-S-P shock braid as a leader. For more information, click here.
