Todber Roadtrip!

The huge on-site tackle shop

Last week we escaped the office and visited Todber Manor fishery in the wilds of beautiful Dorset as part of a PR / filming exercise.

The fishery comprises 10 lakes designed to cater for all anglers from novices fishing for the first time, to match anglers on specially designed pole lakes and carp anglers hoping to catch fish to over 30lb.

IMG_9260The huge onsite shop is an out and out tackle emporium providing everything you need with several expert staff on hand to help with advice. It is a converted barn which gives you some idea of its size and is stocked to the gunnels with all the top brands in tackle and bait.

There are a few small lakes adjacent to the shop (these include the new match venues dug last year) but the main complex of lakes is a short drive down a track which leads you straight to the main carp lakes Big Hayes and Little Hayes.

todberThe cold northerly wind was less than welcoming as it funnelled down the length of Big Hayes so we decided on an area off the back of the wind providing plenty of shelter.

We then set about filming a short clip on a very exciting new product due later this year, we’ll not give too much away now but its set to cause a bit of a stir..

We filmed a short clip on how best to load your mono

Then we filmed a short ‘tip’ on how best to load line onto a reel. With the success of ESP Syncro XT and Loaded we regularly get asked how best to load it from the bulk spool onto the reel. This short video will show you how and will be online soon.
