Tim ‘Panther’ Harris had a right result last week when he caught this stunning mirror known as the Pretty One, one of the most prized residents of the Longfield Road Lake. She weighed 39lb 4oz.
After spotting some fish activity in a particular area of the lake Tim carefully pin pointed a smooth silty area which he baited with a spread of chopped boilies and hemp. The rig comprised a size 6 ESP Raptor D-7 hook, tied to 18lb Sink Link and a 2oz lead on original ESP Leadcore. A 16mm hardened Obsession Baits Red Fish bottom bait completed the trap.
The take came early the following morning and when asked to comment on his success, the self depreciating Clapham based specialist said ‘it was certainly one that I was keen to see on the bank’. Can’t argue with that.
The Raptor D-7 has a 16 degree down turned eye and subtle curved point which is straight in line without any reverse.
