With the weather going from one extreme to the other in the space of a week, this unseasonably mild weather and the lengthening daylight hours should see a few carp getting caught! You can’t beat a big winter carp at a top weight and in peak condition and this week looks like the one to get out there.
John Claridge had a brilliant result around this time last year in similar conditions when he caught a 39lb 8oz mirror from a tricky southern park lake.
