Hinders boss Bryan Jarrett phoned us last week to tell us how impressed he was with the ESP ready tied Short Chod Rigs and how he’d been putting them to good use at Churn Pool in the Cotswold Water Park.
Well this week Bryan returned to his main target water, Bellwood near Newbury and using a rig incorporating a faithful size 5 Stiff Rigger he quickly nailed this cracking mirror. Good angling Bryan!
“With a few days off work and the weather looking on the up, I decided to head down to Bellwood for short session. Despite the more positive change in conditions upon arrival I was met with showers, and the rain stayed with me through the rest of the day and night!
Knowing these fish were on the move and look out for food after such a harsh winter, I opted to fish a bit of bait and preceded to spod out a good few spods of our Little Gemz pellets with some of the crushed down Mainline Cell boilies!
This Mirror followed shortly after I baited, and what a beauty! I nailed this lump on an ESP stiff rigger hook, size 5.
I’ll soon be off to the the Czech Republic to fish a match so hopefully I’ll have something to report when I get back.
