Des Taylor recently had a productive trip to Rainbow Lake in France:
‘I fished the venue for one week. In that time we had heavy rain for 16 hours at a time! I only had five fish all week but they were 25.00, 48.08, 62.02 and 75.14.The 62.02 is a personal best common and the monster Mirror is my personal best carp. All the fish were taken on ESP Tectrix 12’ 3.25lb rods and SBS Phaze baits.
The rods handled the big fish superbly holding them out the snags on 50lb braid and a size two hook but then forgiving enough not to pull the hook out when such massive fish are under the rod tip’.
