Despite the bittery cold weather this week, Kev Hewitt managed to brave the conditions and squeeze a nights angling on Linear fisheries St. Johns lake.
Although the lake had only produced three fish in total so far this year, Kev managed to double that tally by taking a three fish catch including mirrors of 18Lb, 21Lb 14oz and this stunning 24Lb 12oz mirror sporting its full winter colours. Kev Caught the bigger mirror on a zig rig comprising of 12Lb Drennan Double strength hooklink, an ESP ejector lead clip with a size 10 Drennan super specialist Barbel hook.
The lake is still a little weedy and ejecting the lead on the take made the fight a whole lot easier.
