Change of Hooks Does the Trick for Alex

Alex Shields from Southend-on-Sea sent us these shots of a couple of cracking mirrors from a local club water. It looks like changing over to the trusty ESP Raptor Big-Ts helped do the business. Good angling Alex!

“I’d like to share these photos with you. I’ve always struggled with catching 20+ mirrors and here I am with 2 of em. A new pb of 28lb and another of 24lb.

I’d had enough of the hooks I had been using straightening out on me so decided to change to ESP Big-T’s and happy I did as these where nailed. Hook link was soft ghost in 15lb combi link style. The one I’m holding is 28lb and the other 24lb. My pb before this was only 19lb 14oz.

Hard to believe I’ve had 30 + commons and ghosties. This lake is a local club water.”

This year we would like to invite you to share with us your catch reports and photos of carp caught with the help of ESP tackle. We’ll aim to feature as many as possible on the Facebook page and ESP website news page. Get the recognition you deserve!

All we need is a good quality photo (maximum size of 1mb), a brief catch report (what, where, and how) and we’ll do the rest. Send it to catchreports@esp-carpgear.com.
