We said on Friday it was big fish weather… Well on Sunday morning Billy Shackleford slipped his net under the highly sought after mirror, The Brute, the largest resident in the Reading club lake, up to an Autumn troughing weight of 51lb.
Billy moved into a freshly vacated swim on the Saturday afternoon after originally being unsure on whether to do the night or not. Well the impromptu move really paid off and the following morning the rig fished on a close in spot produced the all important bite. Billy’s gear included ESP Syncro XT, ESP Leadcore and a 25lb Two Tone hook link combined with an MC Nut hook bait. Monster!
