Gary Knott sent us this lovely picture of the biggest common in an Essex club lake weighing 37lb 9oz.
Gary tempted the fish from a spot near a big weed bed at 60 yards range on a rig incorporating a size 8 Big-T and 15lb Strip-Teaze hook link with a snow man hook bait.
The fight lasted 30 minutes after the fish kept getting weeded up but a decent hook hold saw it safely home after a fraught battle.
