Daren ‘Tinpot’ Norman had a cracking result this week after a change in tactics lead to the capture of this chunky 46lb 14oz mirror from a large southern pit.
The Kent based hauler said ‘I had a week’s holiday off work and was originally intending to fish a Colne Valley syndicate water and was already en route when for some reason I decided to turn round and head back to Kent. I had a 24lb common early on then ended up moving three times before hooking the biggun on the third day of the trip. I hooked it fishing at long range and it put up an incredible fight all the way in’.
Daren’s set up consisted of 15lb ESP Syncro XT mainline, brown ESP Flexi Anchor Tube and Lead Clips , and a hinged stiff rig fished and over 3kg of Sticky krill.
