After a slow start on Savay this season, Watford specialist Stu Court changed tactics and caught this lovely dark 35lb mirror.

It was my first fish of the season so obviously very happy to get off the mark after blanking the first 2 rota’s. I caught it on an extra-long multi rig so it would settle on the thick weed rather than burying in it.
The rig comprised a size 7 ESP Stiff Rigger, and a 1oz lead on an ESP Ejector lead clip, which dumped the lead on the take making it a lot easier to play the fish in very weedy conditions.
