E-S-P consultant Kev Hewitt and Ben Davis from Swindon had an unbelievable session on Orchid Lake near Oxford earlier this week.
It has to be one of the all time greatest hauls of big carp from a day ticket water in January. During a hectic 24 hour period in which Ben only fished for a day session, the duo bagged a total of 27 fish from the notoriously difficult venue. A haul which included four thirties to 36Lb 4oz for Kev and six thirties to 38Lb 14oz for Ben despite him only fishing for a total of 9 hours!

Before that nine hours of madness Ben had never caught a 30Lb carp. Kev and Ben were both fishing hinged stiff rigs comprising of ESP Short Chod rigs attached to 6 inches of 25lb Two-Tone coated braid for the boom section. The pair both use ESP Sniper-2 rods in 12ft 3.25Lb tc to take their colossal haul.
