Dave Springall sent us this cracking common from a new venture in Kent. PVA bag tactics in small holes in the thick weed doing the trick. Here’s Dave’s report:
Dave with a lovely Kent Common
It was the only fish, apart from a bream of the 36 hour session and to a solid bag of Mainline micro pellets fished drop off inline style, with a 3oz lead and a 3″ blowback rig using ESP 20lb brown anchor braid, a size 6 Curve Shanx hook and a 10mm pineapple juice dumbbell tipped with yellow ESP buoyant corn.

I hooked him in a clear spot amongst heavy Canadian pond weed, dragged him through two weed beds and had to wade out to land him in more thick marginal weed. Very lucky to get him in really.
