“I recently managed to catch my first UK 40lb Common – its been a milestone I have been trying to break for a few years hence why I joined Farriers.
The Common was taken along with 4 other 20s up to 28lb, the big girl weighed 43lb 10oz and is the biggest fish out on the venue this year, so I was over the moon and it put up a proper battle in the margins weeding me up a few times – not good in crystal clear water when you know its a big fish.
I used ESP Adjustable Lead Clip Kits, 20lb green Strip-Teaze hook link tied to a size 6 Raptor Curve Shanx barbless hook, with a Mainline Cell bottom bait tipped with a a piece of ESP Big Buoyant Sweetcorn and fished over 2kg of 15mm and 18mm boilies”
