With thunder storms and plenty of rain forecast for the weekend, conditions were looking more favourable than of late with the high temperatures and bright sunshine. I settled in the swim known as Common Corner, fishing both rods to the left under the tree canopy.
Fish number 1 came to the net at 4:30am the next morning, a tad hair-raising to say the least as it right in the middle of a savage thunder storm, not the best of times to be playing with carbon. Things were a little calmer when I had the second fish the next morning, just over 24 hours later.

I returned to Fox a few days later for another 48 hour session, choosing to fish open water this time in a different swim, the left hand rod cast at around 50 yards whilst the right hand rod was cast out at 65 to 70 yards and at 8am the next morning another Fox Pool mirror was in the net, happy days!

The tackle used ESP Two Tone hooklink in Choddy Silt 25lb, ESP Raptor T6 size 8 hook and a Lead Clip Leadcore Leader in Choddy silt.
