Sean Leverett kicked his spring into gear last week with this cracker from Vinnetrow. Good observation paid off nicely, here’s what happened:
A 3 night session over on the Vinnetrow Syndicate in Chichester resulted in this 34lb 12oz mirror known as Paw Print.
This fish came as a result of moving for the 3rd time in the session after seeing some colored water up the opposite end of the lake to where I was fishing. I had moved from one swim to another to my left after seeing a good few fish in an area but the following morning they had gone. That evening a really good fish showed right on the spot I had moved from and I began to wish I’d stayed put. The next day I reeled in and went for a walk and it was then that I saw the colored area to which I moved on to.
After getting in to the swim I cast out 2 single Krill pop-ups tied to Multi rigs constructed using Strip-teaze Two Tone in Silt Black and a size 5 Stiff Rigger. This was on an ejector Lead clip and Silt Black leadcore. These were cast to the glowing spot at around 90 yards and a couple of hours later the right rod ripped off. The fight was a good one and at one point i even though I’d lost it as it swam straight at me.
Eventually I got the fish under control and in the net and I have to say it was a relief to eventually get a fish under my belt after the slow spell I’d been having.
