Stu Court had a right result on Savay last week with the capture of one of the lakes ‘A Team’ in the shape of the Trophy at 41lb 12oz. Stu’s hooked the fish at 80 yards range and had to bring it back through a huge weedbed. The trusty 15lb Syncro did the trick though and the size 6 D-7 held firm. Well done Stu!

Jo Green caught three lovely carp from Longfield Fox pool last week, here’s the full story: With thunder storms and plenty of rain forecast for the weekend, conditions were looking more favourable than of late with the high temperatures and bright sunshine. I settled in the swim known as Common Corner, fishing both rods to the left under the tree canopy.

Marcus Howarth’s vintage year continued last week with the capture of the much revered Jamie’s from the Roach Pit in Ringwoodshire. The Wimborne based trawlerman stalked what must be one of the best looking carp in the country on a free-lined piece of crust a rod length out, after he found it lurking in a weedy corner of the pit.
