Mark Drake has been putting in the hard yards on the Roach Pit in Ringwood this year and his continued efforts were well rewarded last week with the capture of one of the lake’s jewels. The Bristol big carp specialist gave us the lowdown on a memorable winter capture:

Surrey based Alex West sent us this lovely picture of a 42lb 14oz mirror caught from a tricky, highly pressured venue recently. A move of swim after some night-time observation paid off with a rarely caught whacker!

Here’s an interesting and very unusual shot from Martin Bowler. He took it as he waded out to land a fish for his mate and videographer Mick Jackson. We’re well over half way through November and Darryl Dunn is still catching them off the top! E-S-P Dutch sales manager Arend Termorshuizen caught this massive p.b. common of 6l.7lb (28kg) last week, whilst on holiday to a large lake in Italy.
