Kev ‘Mr Consistent’ Hewitt enjoyed yet another productive session this weekend, landing another Swan Lake jewel. Here’s what Kev had to say:
I decided to make a five hour round trip to Bluebells Swan lake this weekend and was rewarded with this 30Lb 4oz mirror.

Rig wise I used a rig that has been catching me a good number of big fish over the past couple of years, my own version of the hinged stiff rig. The rig consists of an ESP ready made chod rig size 6 whilst using Stripteaze Two tone 25lb for the boom section.
I fished this on an adjustable lead clip set up. One thing I must say is how impressed I have been with the new ESP Syncro XT Loaded line. It casts like a dream, sinks well, is very tough and strong. The original Syncro was without a shadow of doubt the best line I had ever used and this one seems tho be just that little bit better. The colour of the new XT line has a darker tone to it and it really is unobtrusive under the water and blends in amongst any bottom. Definitely a line I would highly recommend.
