Rob Shanks is having an excellent week, following up from the two twenties he stalked the other day a quick overnighter and pinpointing some fish produced another lovely mirror.
A quick overnighter proved productive in the shape of this 28.14 mirror. With the days work done I decided to pop over to my local syndicate. With only 3 cars in the car park on a Wednesday night it was a decision well made.
I managed to locate a few fish milling about in shallow water under the overhanging branches of willow tree at approx 60 yards in the margins of an island. With the weather hot and muggy I knew the fish would stay up in the water till late into the evening and I was reward with a take at 10.30pm.
The successful rig on this occasion was a simple bottom bait set up incorporating ESP silt striptease in 15lb and a size 7 Raptor Long Shanx hook which was baited with a Sticky Baits Krill 16mm wafting barrel.
The hook bait had been heavily glugged in the matching Krill liquid and a small PVA bag of crumbed krill boilies completed the trap.
