Tel’s on a roll!

The Big Simmo 47lb 10oz

Terry Hearn has had an incredible run since he started fishing Cranwells lake on the Wasing syndicate at the start of November. A combination of meticulous preparation, watercraft, clinical angling and supreme confidence in the gear he is using has resulted in a very productive last few months through the winter period and early Spring. Here’s what Tel had to say last week:

‘Things have still been going well over Wasing, up to 105 now, crazy spell of fishing. Winkled out the one they call the Big Simmo at 47.10, and caught one of the prettier mirrors called Bi-Polar a couple of weeks back at 35.06, plenty more good looking twenties too, beginning to wonder how many are in here as I’ve only my doubled up on half a dozen.

Bi-Polar 35lb 6oz

Remember early in the winter I had a spell where I managed to land 36 carp on the bounce before losing one? Well, I’ve just added up everything since my last loss at the end of December, and including those couple of February Estate Lake carp I’ve somehow managed to land 57 carp on the bounce, not one loss. Loving the hooks and Tungsten Loaded!

Another stunning mirror of 34lb 9oz

Everything seems to be working at 100% right now, couldn’t be happier. That 47 charged right through a dead reed bed at range and then swung right, thought something was going to give but instead a huge area of reeds just folded over, would have been mental on film! Love that Syncro XT!’
