James’ largest fish of the session – 33lb 14oz
‘I arrived on Friday evening at around 6pm and managed to squeeze into a peg on Hunts Corner before the heavens opened. It was my first time on this lake at Linear so wasn’t too sure what to expect. Between the spells of heavy rain I managed to find myself a nice clear spot just off a gravel bar at 11 wraps and got 15 spombs on the area.

I landed 3 fish Friday night off of the area – 20.06 Mirror, 32.06 Common and a small stocky.

Saturday resulted in another 4 more fish – 33.14 Mirror , 24.14 Mirror then a 25lB Common and another small stocky later in the evening.
The floater caught mirror from Hardwick Smiths
On Sunday morning things had dried up so we decided to head over to Hardwick Smiths to do a spot of floater fishing as the sun was shining and shortly after arriving they were comfortably taking the mixers and a 21.08 mirror was in the net!
Tackle used included ESP pre tied Leadcore Lead clip System, ESP Cryogen Curve Size 7, ESP Tungsten Loaded Semi Stiff.
Even after several fish the hooks are still razor sharp as if they had just come out of the packet.
I will be returning to Hunts Corner in the near future!’
